ANALYSIS OF PUBLIC FINANCES IN SOUTHERN BRAZIL
A STUDY ON INVESTMENTS AND FINANCIAL INVERSIONS (1995-2008)

This study aims to demonstrate the evolution of public finances of southern Brazil with a specific approach on financial investments and investments from 1995 to 2008 so Checking the efficiency of the administration regarding the collection and allocation of resources in these certain areas. To support the observed results, we use the theoretical conception of the public sector, that is, theoretical concepts on public spending and public spending since the mid-twentieth century, the government's way intervene in the economy was modified. Considering the results, the southern region of Brazil has shown in the last two periods of little governments allocate resources to certain areas in the study.
